Life Lessons (in no particular order)
No one, I mean no one has it all figured out
Being nice is overrated, be kind, be fair, be understanding… being nice means you value others more than you value yourself
To love is to be vulnerable (have boundaries though)
Good or bad, you can learn from everybody
God wins!!! Now and forever more
Embrace all of your emotions, don’t ignore them, don’t mask them… embrace them
Journeying alone is better than being with bad company
Unlearning is just as important as learning
Your parents raised you how they were raised, its up to you to break that cycle for your children
Own up to your mistakes and do what you say you will do
Maturity is accepting you wont get answers to the things that hurt you the most… heal anyway
You don’t have to learn everything the hard way
You also need forgiveness, learn to forgive others
Instead of buying your children what you didn’t have, teach them what you didn’t know
Never let your inner child die… heal her/him instead
Be the person you needed when you were hurting
Always speak your truth no matter what people think
Never feel bad for promoting yourself
It’s ok to say no to things you don’t want
Spending time alone is one of the best things you can do for yourself
Celebrate ALL your accomplishments
If you care too much about what people think, you’ll end up being their slave
Death is certain… we’re all going to die one day
Listen to understand… not just to respond
There’s ALWAYS something you can improve about yourself
Hang out with different types of people
You can’t pour from an empty cup! Fill your cup first (God is the filler)
Stay grounded
You gotta stay down to come up
God is good ALL the time
Embrace uncertainty… you don’t always need to know “what’s next”
Peace of mind is the real bag
Stay in your lane… merge with caution
