Scriptures that help me through tough days
We have good days and not so good days, days that we feel like the world is on top of us and there is nothing we can do about it! I know I did, and sometimes still do! We all have those days where we want nothing to do but lay in bed all day, but can’t because duty calls! When I’m having one of those days, I simply open my Bible App (I read the ESV Version) and read or just write in my journal until I feel a bit better. I was flipping through my journal the other day and came across some scriptures I had written down with a little note on the side saying “having a tough day… read me”. I felt led to share a few of them with you all! I hope they help you as much as they helped me and still help me.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”- Philippians 4:6-7
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by His love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” -Zephaniah 3:17
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and the one who knocks it will be opened.”- Matthew 7:7-8
